The Bible

The Bible has been changed…..
….this is what often my Muslim friends tell me. But let me say “one or two words” about this book.

66 books

Do you know that the Bible is a “small library” grouping together 66 books, written by 40 different authors, from a wide variety of social and cultural backgrounds.

It is an extraordinary book. In it we find poetry, history, words of comfort, advice, commandments from God, exciting stories, but most importantly the revelation of who Jesus really is and the revelation of God’s plan for humanity.

Torah, Zabour, Ingil  (Law, Psalms, Gospel)

“The Bible has been changed”…. How many times have I heard my Muslim friends telling me that, again and again?! Yet in the Bible we find the Law, the Psalms, and the Gospel, which are books which you, as Muslims, recognise to be from God, isn’t that true? Saying that they have been changed is, in a way, saying that God is not able to protect his Word.

2479

The Bible, or more often just a part of it, has been translated into about 2479 languages!! It is also the most printed, and bought, book worldwide throughout history. God’s Word is accessible to so many people. Don’t you find that extraordinary? “Al-Hamdoulilah” (Praise be to God)… as you would say.

Question : Where, when, who?
If the Bible really has been changed, where, when and by whom has it been changed?

If it has been changed how is it that not a single Jew, nor a single Christian, has ever protested about such a modification?

Words from the Bible “When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who watch over my way.” Psalm 142:3
